Developer showcases £70m Staffordshire shopping centre

Plans for a £70m retail centre in Staffordshire have gone on display as part of a public consultation.

Developers want to build a shopping centre and multi-storey car park, connected by a footbridge, in Bridge Street, Stafford.

They are also planning to build a food store and dedicated car park in Kingsmead.

Property firm LXB Manager LLP displayed its plans in the town's Gatehouse Theatre.

It said it was also liaising with the county council to see if the development could be included on the current South Walls bus route.

Official plans are expected to go before Stafford Borough Council in November.
