Male passenger dies in crash with Cheadle tree
A passenger died when the car he was travelling in crashed into a tree in Staffordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a crash in Leek Road, Cheadle, near the JCB premises shortly before 22:25 GMT on Thursday.
The front seat passenger, a 19-year-old male, was confirmed dead at the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver, who was in his late teens, had a collapsed lung and injuries to his shoulder, jaw, arm and chest.
