No charges in Stoke-on-Trent election fraud case

Two men arrested in May on suspicion of a fraud linked to last year's council elections in Stoke-on-Trent have been released from bail without charge.

The men, aged 31 and 32, were arrested as part of a wider fraud investigation and their homes were searched.

Staffordshire Police said neither men were councillors.

The force is investigating a subsequent complaint received about potential offences at the 2011 local elections in the city.
