Man found dead in Stoke-on-Trent named as Kelvin Williams
Police have named a 58-year-old man who died from stab injuries at his Stoke-on-Trent home.
Kelvin Williams was found at the property on Westbourne Drive in Tunstall.
A post-mortem examination confirmed he died from stab wounds.
Detectives have been granted more time to question a 41-year-old man from the city who was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder.
He remains at Staffordshire Police's northern area custody facility in Etruria.
Insp Martin Brereton said: "Forensic officers will carry on with their detailed examination of the house while neighbourhood officers remain in the area to offer reassurance to residents and address any concerns they have.
"Mr Williams' family are being supported by dedicated police family liaison officers at this very difficult time."
