Couple at Cheadle house died of single stab wounds

A man and woman found dead at a house in Staffordshire had each suffered a single stab wound, according to post-mortem tests.

Their bodies were discovered at their home in Ness Grove, Cheadle, on Monday.

They have now been formally identified as 42-year-old Mark Chandler, and Karen Climpson, aged 46.

Insp Clare Riley said: "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner."

Staffordshire Police said its major investigation department was trying to determine exactly what happened and forensic officers were still examining the house.
