Two men charged after man shot dead in bed in Chasetown

Two men have appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of a father-of-two from south Staffordshire.

Richard Deakin, 27, died after he was shot in bed in his Meadway Street home in Chasetown on 5 July 2010.

Darryl Dickens, 33, and David Harrison, 62, both from the Bilston area, were remanded in custody at Cannock Magistrates' Court.

They are due to appear before Stafford Crown Court on 9 January.

Mr Harrison is also charged with robbery and possessing a firearm, over an incident in Dudley in January 2008.
