Woman charged over dog walker death in Stourport

A Shropshire woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in south Staffordshire last summer.

Brenda Wilson, 62, from Kinver, died after the collision on Bridgnorth Road (A458) in Stourton on 4 August.

She was walking a dog with her friend along the footpath, when an Audi A3 car struck them.

A 53-year-old woman arrested after the crash has now been charged with causing death by driving without due care while over the legal alcohol limit.

She is due to appear before magistrates in Cannock on Wednesday, 22 February.

The other pedestrian, a woman, suffered minor injuries, but the dog died.
