A moped rider killed in Staffordshire in what police believe was a collision with a lorry which did not stop, has been named.

Benjamin Warrington, 24, of Agincourt Road, Lichfield, was killed on Tuesday shortly before 05:30 GMT.

Police have renewed an appeal to trace a large heavy goods vehicle with a red and black cab and have urged anyone with information to contact them.

The incident happened on the A38 just north of the Streethay slip-road.

Insp Jed White said: "The HGV was travelling north so it may have left the A38 at Fradley Business Park or continued on towards Burton and Derby."

The police also want to speak to the occupants of a silver people carrier-type vehicle which was travelling from near the railway station in Lichfield and joined the A38 at Streethay before coming off at the Fradley park junction.
