Call for Stafford Hospital cancer patient feedback

Breast cancer patients treated at Stafford Hospital are being urged to contact a health watchdog after concerns were raised about the service.

Last week, a report from the Greater Midlands Cancer Research Network described the set-up as "deeply dysfunctional".

The hospitals trust insisted breast surgery services were safe and said it was addressing the issues raised.

Watchdog Staffordshire Link said it wanted feedback about the services.

Officials at the organisation said they wanted to hear from anyone who had been treated at the hospital for breast cancer.

Last week's peer-review report stated there was evidence of "open hostility" between some clinicians and the management and said it was "seriously concerned" about the effect that would have on patient management and safety.
