Stafford primary school parents warned over man in car
Parents of children at a Stafford primary school have been sent warning letters after a man asked a girl to get into his car.
Police are investigating the incident which happened near Tillington Manor Primary on Monday evening.
Officers said the child "did the right thing by not talking to him and walking off". They added there was no physical contact and no-one was harmed.
Parents have been urged to remain vigilant and take sensible precautions.
Staffordshire Police have urged anyone who sees anything suspicious to report it immediately.
A spokesperson said: "Please help us by not spreading unconfirmed rumours on Facebook or Twitter."
