Stoke-on-Trent road closure due to gas pipe work
Drivers in Stoke-on-Trent are being warned about disruption lasting a week due to work to replace gas pipes.
Cobridge Road will be closed to northbound traffic at the Etruria flyover from 21:00 BST between Sunday and Friday, but will open by 06:00 BST.
National Grid said plastic pipes, replacing about 1,300m of cast-iron ones, would greatly reduce the risk of gas leaks.
It thanked people in the city "for their patience" during the project.
Cobridge Road will also be closed at the northbound slip lane to the flyover during the night over the six days, but southbound traffic will not be affected.
