Staffordshire explosions: Two more men charged

Two more men have appeared before Fenton magistrates in connection with a series of explosions in Staffordshire.

Three houses in Blythe Bridge, Cheadle and Weston Coyney "sustained minimal damage" in the explosions in August, police said.

Andrew Boal, 32, of Ballygowan, Newtonards, County Down, and Edvinas Sermuksnis, 30, of Belfast are charged with conspiracy to blackmail.

They are due to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday.

Jason Taft, 40, of Greenfields Farm, Stoke-on-Trent, Thomas Richard Lesley, 54, and his son Thomas Lesley, 34, both from Belfast, are also due to enter pleas at the crown court on Friday.

They are all charged with conspiracy to blackmail.
