Staffordshire explosions: Further blackmail charge

A man has been charged with conspiracy to blackmail in connection with a series of explosions in Staffordshire.

Staffordshire Police said a 42-year-old man from Brown Edge, Stoke-on-Trent had been released on bail and would appear before magistrates in November.

Three houses in Blythe Bridge, Cheadle and Weston Coyney sustained minimal damage in the explosions in August.

Six others also charged with conspiracy to blackmail are due appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 19 December.
