Josef Cupori Josef Cupori was sentenced to life imprisonment

A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his mother.

Josef Cupori, 24, of Elm Street, Cobridge, Staffordshire, was found guilty in August of murdering 43-year-old Anna Cuporiova in March 2011.

Cupori, who was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court, will serve a minimum of 18 years and 11 days.

Ms Cuporiova's body was found in Cupori's bedroom. Cupori denied murdering his mother on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

She had died from a neck wound.
