Driver killed in crash near village of Swindon is named

A driver killed in a car crash in Staffordshire has been named by police.

Norman Higgins, 74, died when his Fiat Stylo was involved in a collision with an MG ZR on Hinksford Lane, near the village of Swindon, on Tuesday.

Mr Higgins, from the Hinksford Mobile Home Park, Kingswinford, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the MG, a 44-year-old woman, did not need hospital treatment. The road was shut for a few hours while police checked and cleared the scene.
