Cyclist dies after hit-and-run crash in Burton-on-Trent

A 68-year-old cyclist has died after being in collision with a car whose driver failed to stop.

The cyclist, from Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, was found in Uxbridge Street in the town at about 20:45 BST on Monday after colliding with a black Audi.

He died on arrival at Queen's Hospital in the town. The vehicle was found abandoned in South Broadway Street.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
