Man and woman charged after MDMA worth £1m found in car
Two people have been charged after drugs worth more than £1m were found in a car at a motorway service station.
Officers stopped the vehicle at Hilton Park Services, between junction 10a and 11, on the M6 in Staffordshire.
About 35kg (76lbs) of MDMA, also called ecstasy, were uncovered which has an estimated street value of over £1m.
Charles Hendrie, 29, and Leah Parkes, 27, from Greater Manchester, are due before magistrates in Cannock charged with possession with intent to supply.
The pair, from Prospect Place, Bury, were arrested by officers from the Central Motorway Police Group at around 18:20 GMT on Wednesday.
