Cannock crash Porsche driver died from heart attack

A Porsche driver who died in a crash in Staffordshire suffered a heart attack at the wheel, a coroner has concluded.

George Taylor, 66, from Cannock, was involved in a collision on the A460 Wolverhampton Road on 8 November.

Following post-mortem tests, Staffordshire Police said there will be no inquest into his death.

A man, woman and young child travelling in another car involved in the collision were not badly hurt, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Andrew Haigh, senior coroner for Staffordshire South, said Mr Taylor suffered from heart disease and high blood pressure.

Speaking shortly after his death, Mr Taylor's family said he was a loving husband, brother and father of two.
