A driver who fell asleep at the wheel while travelling at 105mph has been jailed after admitting causing the death of a motorist on the M6.

Dean Hughes, 29, from Curo Park, Frogmore, St Albans, killed Stephen Brentnall in September 2013.

The BMW 1 series driven by Hughes hit 50-year-old Mr Brentnall's Mini on the southbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 16 in Staffordshire.

Hughes had not slept for 24 hours before the crash, at about 06:15 BST.

Mr Brentnall, from the Grandholm area of Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
