Man charged over Hanley Beaverbrooks jewellery raid

A 24-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery after a raid on a Stoke-on-Trent jewellers.

More than £500,000 worth of jewellery and watches were stolen from Beaverbrooks in the Potteries Centre, Hanley, on 17 November.

Liam Wright, of Athlone Avenue, Manchester, is also charged with criminal damage, three drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 21-year-old woman arrested on Thursday has been bailed.
