Girls charged with Kidsgrove attack on girl, 14

Two teenage girls have been charged with assault by beating, after a 14-year-old girl was attacked in a street.

The girls, both 16 and from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, were arrested and released on bail following the incident in Kidsgrove on 27 March.

One of them faces a further charge of assault relating to another incident, on 25 March, along with a 13-year-old girl.

All three are due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre in June.

A 15-year-old was attacked in Kidsgrove on 25 March.

Two days later, the 14-year-old girl was allegedly beaten and stamped on in an attack in Whitehall Avenue, in the same town.
