Man found in Stoke-on-Trent pool had drowned

A man who died after being pulled out of a pool had drowned, a post-mortem has found.

Aaron Nixon, 30, from Stoke-on-Trent, was found in the water off St Michaels Road in Pittshill in the city on Sunday evening.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.

Mr Nixon, from Norris Road, had gone to the pool to go fishing, police said. They are appealing for anyone who may have seen him to contact them.

The two men in custody are aged 29 and 35 and from Stoke-on-Trent, police said.
