Woman in hospital after Lowestoft flat fire
A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a fire in a flat in Lowestoft in Suffolk.
Fire crews were called to the property in London Road South at just after 1800 BST and a women was rescued from a flat suffering from burns.
Suffolk Police said she was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.
Police said the cause of the fire was not known and an inquiry had started. A spokesman appealed to anyone with any information to contact officers.
Three floors were extensively damaged in the fire.
