Suspected brothel in Ipswich raided by police

Three people have been arrested following a raid on a suspected brothel in Ipswich.

Police raided an address in Firmin Close on Monday afternoon.

A 23-year-old Ipswich man was arrested on suspicion of managing a brothel. A woman, 45, was arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.

Another man, 54, also from Ipswich, was cautioned for the new offence of paying for the sexual services of a prostitute subjected to force or coercion.

It was the first arrest for this offence in Suffolk.

The 23-year-old man has been bailed to return to Ipswich police station on 24 May pending further enquiries.
