Motoring charges over car crash

A man has been charged with motoring offences after two people were seriously injured in Suffolk.

A car struck a man and woman aged in their 60s as they were in Kings Road, Bury St Edmunds, on 8 January.

Anton Giles, 23, is charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath, dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

Mr Giles, from Queens Road, Bury St Edmunds, was bailed to appear at the town's magistrates' court on 17 March.

He is also charged with assault relating to a member of the public at the scene of the incident.
