Drugs find in Port of Felixstowe lorry safety checks

Police in Suffolk have arrested suspected drug dealers during safety checks on 45 lorries at the Port of Felixstowe.

Vehicles were stopped on Friday in a bid to raise driving standards and ensure lorries were mechanically safe.

Two men, 20, from Felixstowe, are being questioned on suspicion of possession of a drug with intent to supply.

A number of vehicle prohibitions were issued to other drivers for driving for too many hours or with vehicle defects.
