A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two men were killed at a travellers' site in Suffolk.

The victims, who were both from Essex, were found shot dead at Willow Park in Beck Row, near Mildenhall, on Tuesday.

A man, 28, from the Mildenhall area went to a police station outside Suffolk on Friday night and was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Earlier a man, 38, held on suspicion of murder, was released on bail.

Police said officers had searched the area around the site and recovered a number of firearms, but officers are unsure if they are connected to the deaths.

Police said post-mortem examinations confirmed both victims died from gunshot wounds.

Their families have been contacted by police but formal identification is not expected to take place for several days, a spokesman said.

Ch Supt Stewart Gull said armed officers were patrolling the area.

Detectives are continuing with their inquiries in connection with the killings.

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister was asked about the case in the House of Commons by Matthew Hancock, Conservative MP for West Suffolk.

David Cameron said: "I think the police will want to do everything they can to get to the bottom of this dreadful crime and to bring the perpetrators to justice."
