Man rearrested in Ipswich murder inquiry

A man has been rearrested in connection with the death of another man following a fight outside a pub in Ipswich last week.

Simon Cowles, 20, of Star Lane, suffered a head injury outside the Smock pub, on Maidenhall Approach, on Sunday.

He died in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, on Tuesday.

A 44-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned by police.

A 35-year-old man from Ipswich remains on police bail until 19 May pending further inquiries.
