Ipswich home sex attack appeal gets 'good response'

Police investigating a sex assault on a woman in her Suffolk home said they had received a good response for information from the public.

The man entered the woman's home in Ipswich on Sunday night where she was assaulted before the man ran away.

A police spokesman said the incident room had received calls with information "which will help us to eventually identify the offender".

Scenes of crime officers are expected to remain at the site until Wednesday.

The attacker was white, in his mid-40s, of average build and approximately 5ft 5ins (1.6m) tall.

He may have been wearing a navy-blue fleece and similarly-coloured trousers. He may also now have facial and hand injuries.
