Illegal rave on Suffolk farm closed down

Up to 200 people were removed from an illegal rave on farmland in Suffolk, closed down by police.

Police officers on patrol came across the rave on land off Worlington Road, Barton Mills, near the A11 at about 0400 BST.

They found bales of hay on fire, a barn was evacuated, and the fire service called. No one was injured.

Suffolk Police said while dispersing the ravers some became confrontational but no arrests were made.

Some sound equipment and a van were seized.

Police are urging landowners to remain vigilant and contact them if they suspect a rave is being organised on their land.
