Woman sexually assaulted by man in Suffolk park

A woman has been sexually assaulted in a Suffolk park.

The 31-year-old woman was attacked in a park near Blackhouse Lane, Great Cornard.

She contacted police late on Thursday and told them the attack had taken place between 1945 BST and 2030 BST that evening.

Suffolk Police have searched the area and are appealing for anyone who may have been there at the time to contact them.

The attacker is described as a white man, between 50-60 years old, about 5ft 11ins, of slight build, with slicked-back, dark hair with grey streaks.

He was wearing black thick-framed glasses, a white short sleeved shirt with buttons and black chino trousers.

He was carrying a black rope dog lead and was with a dog, possibly a golden retriever or Labrador.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to contact detectives at Bury St Edmunds police station or Crimestoppers.
