Injured man arrested over Suffolk stabbing

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Suffolk.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Gaol Lane, Sudbury, at about 1030 BST on Friday.

A man with stab wounds to his stomach and injuries to his arm was discovered and taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, a Suffolk Police spokesman said.

A 28-year-old man, also with injuries, was found nearby and arrested. He was treated in hospital before being taken into police custody for questioning.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact officers at Bury St Edmunds CID or the charity Crimestoppers.
