Man in hospital after Ipswich street stabbing

A 22-year-old man is being treated in hospital after he was stabbed in the street in Ipswich.

Police were called to Wherstead Road at about 03:00 BST on Saturday to reports of an assault.

The man had been stabbed and was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment to injuries to his arm and abdomen.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is being questioned by officers.
