Skeletal remains found on a building site in Ipswich, Suffolk, have been moved to a mortuary for further examination.

The discovery was made in Valley Road on 3 October at a site where four houses are being built.

A cordon remains around the scene and searches of the site will continue this week, police said.

Anyone with information about the site or how the remains came to be there is asked to contact police.

Police also found clothing and footwear during searches of the site.

Det Ch Insp Neil Luckett said: "We will continue to search the site as we work to piece together information that will help us ascertain the identity of the man, how he came to be here and how he died."
