Two men have been jailed for life for the murder of a 45-year-old man whose body was found in his flat in Ipswich on Christmas Day last year.

Martin Edwards of Old Foundry Road died from multiple injuries.

Timothy Bailey, 29, of no fixed address, and Joseph Heggarty, 51, from Limerick Close, Ipswich, were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court.

Bailey will have to serve a minimum of 20 years before being considered for parole. Heggarty must serve 14 years.

Two other defendants were found not guilty of murder during the trial in October.
