A leisure centre in Suffolk is reopening after a £500,000 refurbishment.

Brandon Leisure Centre has a new fitness studio, modernised changing rooms and a refurbished reception area.

Forest Heath District Council funded the work on the facility, which reopens on 5 December.

Anglia Community Leisure, which runs the centre, said it was hoping to increase its regular membership from 200 to 500.

Chief executive Tony Bass said: "It looks like a modern, clean, fresh, colourful facility as opposed to a well-served but 20-year-old ageing sports centre."
