University Campus Suffolk extends tuition fee mentor deal
A scheme which will help students save thousands of pounds on their tuition fees at University Campus Suffolk is to be extended to include second years.
Under the scheme, students accepted as mentors pay £3,000 of the £8,000 fee in their first year and in return they talk to pupils at their former school.
The university said the Office for Fair Access had extended the scheme to offer £3,000 off fees to second years.
The offer will apply to students starting in 2012.
About 30 students from state high schools or sixth forms in Suffolk and Great Yarmouth, and households where income is below £30,000, will be accepted, the university added.
