Explosion at Ipswich flat no longer treated as suspicious

An explosion at a block of flats in Ipswich is no longer being treated as suspicious by the police.

Emergency services were called to Ellenbrook Green, Chantry, at 22:00 GMT on Friday and an injured man was taken to hospital.

A 41-year-old man was arrested, but released when the police found that the explosion was accidental.

The injured man is in a critical but stable condition at the burns unit at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
