BMW damaged by objects thrown from bridge on A14 in Suffolk

The occupants of a BMW car were left shocked but uninjured after objects were thrown from a bridge over the A14 road in Suffolk on Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle's bonnet and roof were damaged. Police began a search of the area around the A142 junction with the A14 road near Newmarket.

A helicopter was brought in to lead the search but no-one was found.

This incident comes two weeks after a similar attack at Trimley St Mary near Felixstowe.

Early in December lumps of concrete block were dropped on to the A12 in Essex.
