Ipswich man held over £30m drugs seizure in Brandon

A 37-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested over the discovery in Brandon of cocaine worth in excess of £30m.

Police said the man was being held on suspicion of possession and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

The stash of cocaine, which police initially believed to be worth £10m, was found in October.

Terrance Smith, of Ethelreda Drive, Thetford, and Frederick Colverson, of Galsworthy Avenue, London, have been charged with the conspiracy offence.

The two men, both 56, are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court in May.
