Computers stolen at Sir John Leman High School, Beccles

A head teacher has branded thieves who stole more than 20 computers from a Suffolk school as "despicable".

It happened over the weekend at the former Beccles Middle School site, which is now Sir John Leman High School's lower school.

Jeremy Rowe, the head teacher at Sir John Leman, said: "To steal from children is despicable and the lowest of the low.

"At least we are insured and we'll have replacements by the start of term."

The police said the burglars appeared to gain entry via the roof and a window, and left via the rear of the Castle Hill site.
