Stowmarket hit-and-run: Man bailed

A 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a hit-and-run crash in Suffolk has been released on police bail.

The emergency services were called to Navigation Approach in Stowmarket in the early hours of Saturday, where they found a man in a serious condition.

He had been hit by a vehicle that had failed to stop, police said.

The arrested man, who is from Bury St Edmunds, was given bail until 10 October.
