Man charged after Lowestoft burglary

A 31-year-old has been charged following a burglary in Lowestoft which left a mother and her daughter seriously injured.

Police said two people forced their way into a house on Cambridge Road on 27 August and stole money and jewellery.

Leslie Colvin, of London Road South, Lowestoft, was arrested on Thursday and later charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of causing GBH.

Mr Colvin was due to appear before magistrates in Ipswich on Saturday.

Alan Harwood, of High Street in Lowestoft, has also been charged in connection with the burglary.

The 30-year-old is accused of aggravated burglary and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday.

A 36-year-old man from Lowestoft arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery was bailed until 25 October.
