Hilland Matthews charged with intruder sex assault

A 66-year-old man has been charged with the sexual assault of a woman in her own home.

Hilland Matthews, of Swallow Road, Ipswich, was arrested on Thursday in relation to the attack in the Chantry area on 5 June 2011.

He has also been charged with trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.

The victim reported she had been sexually assaulted by an intruder inside her home.

Mr Matthews has been detained in custody and is due in front of magistrates on Saturday.
