A man found dead in an Ipswich park was identified by his fingerprint records, an inquest has heard.

Christopher Thompson, 35, of London Road in Ipswich, was found in Chantry Park by a dog walker on 15 November.

The inquest heard he had facial injuries and a post mortem examination concluded he died as a result of an assault.

A man and a woman have been charged with his murder, while another man has been released on police bail.

Mr Thompson's body was found at about 06:50 GMT on the Thursday morning.

Christopher Wilson, 33, and Deanna Stanton, 26, both of no fixed abode, were charged with murder and are due at Ipswich Crown Court in February.

A 42-year-old man from Ipswich was questioned as part of the murder inquiry and is due to return to police in January.

Dr Peter Dean, the Suffolk coroner, adjourned the inquest until the case goes before the crown court.
