Man arrested after passenger pushed off Ipswich bus

A man has been arrested after a passenger was pushed off a bus and suffered serious head injuries.

The 67-year-old man was pushed by three men from an Ipswich Buses number 10 in Defoe Road, Ipswich, about 18:00 GMT on Thursday.

Suffolk Police said a 26-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The victim was transferred from Ipswich Hospital to Addenbrooke's, Cambridge, and remains in a critical condition.

Suffolk Police have confirmed two people they were seeking as witnesses to the assault have come forward.

Officers are conducting house-to-house inquiries, in addition to speaking to passengers travelling on the number 10 route.
