Woman raped in Ipswich town centre alley

A 24-year-old woman has been raped in an alleyway in Ipswich town centre, police said.

The woman said she had been waiting for friends on Upper Orwell Street at about 23:30 GMT on Friday.

She said was talking to a man and they walked towards Sainsbury's, but he then raped her in an alleyway.

The police said the man was black, had a moustache, was in his late 20s or early 30s and he left in a small car in the Cox Lane car park afterwards.
