Haverhill man's street death 'unexplained'

A man found lying in the street of a Suffolk town has died.

Officers were called to Duddery Road, in Haverhill, at about 03:30 GMT by ambulance staff attending the scene.

The man, thought to be in his 70s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Police have cordoned off the area to conduct initial inquiries and are appealing for witnesses.
