A man arrested as part of a murder inquiry following the discovery of a body in an Ipswich park will face no further action.

Christopher Thompson, 35, of London Road, was found by a dog walker in Chantry Park on 15 November.

A man and a woman have been charged with murder and are due to stand trial later this year.

A 42-year-old man arrested has now been released from police bail and will not face any charges, police said.

Post-mortem tests concluded Mr Thompson died as the result of an assault.

Christopher Wilson, 34, and Deanna Stanton, 26, both of no fixed abode, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court earlier this year and pleaded not guilty to murder.

Their trial is due to take place in June.
