Man charged over Ipswich kidnap

A 23-year-old man has been charged in relation to a kidnapping in Ipswich.

Ishmael O'Connor, of Nacton Crescent, Ipswich, appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Saturday, charged with false imprisonment and GBH.

His case has been referred to Ipswich Crown Court, where he is due to appear on Thursday.

Suffolk Police said a man in his 20s was kidnapped from Bell Close, Ipswich, on 4 March and had to be treated for burns injuries.
